TABC seller-server certification is the official name for what people call Texas alcohol certification, a server permit, or just "TABC." It's the certificate every Texas bar, restaurant, and store asks for.
One thing to know: TIPS and other national programs don't count here. Safe Harbor only holds with a TABC-approved school, and Aceable is TABC-approved.

Certified staff protects a bar's liquor license. The state calls it Safe Harbor, and it only applies when every server is certified within 30 days of hire. So managers want it before your first shift.
Only TABC-approved schools count. TIPS and ServSafe don't hold up in Texas. This course does.
No minimum age for the course. 18 to serve at a bar or restaurant, 21 at a liquor store.
Good for two years. Your certificate downloads the moment you pass and is your proof from day one.

Two hours, the state minimum, nothing padded on. Checking IDs, spotting fakes, reading intoxication, and knowing when to refuse a sale.

It's the stuff you just watched. No trick questions. Miss it? Retake it free.

It downloads the moment you pass. Text it or AirDrop it to your manager tonight. It's your proof from day one.

You can confirm your certification in TABC's certificate lookup about 14 days after you finish. That's the state's timeline, not ours. Until then, your downloaded certificate is your proof, and employers accept it.
